Job Description:
Design/architect next gen virtualization platform as a strategic consolidation direction working closely with various architects and engineers.
Virtualization architect will be responsible for the design and architecture of the next gen server virtualization platform for the new data center. Responsibilities include: to assess the current virtualization architecture, processes, inventory with the purpose to identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues; to drive the analysis and documentation of technical requirements; lead the design in collaboration with infrastructure architects, storage, backup and system administrators; provide cost/benefit for proposed solutions.

* The virtualization architect will provide solution presentations to Executive and staff.
* Provide design process and approach for virtualization designs
* Provide capacity management/planning approach and capacity plans
* Provide virtualization technical designs

Must have proven experience (+5 years as virtualization architect) in the following:
* Server Virtualization
* Expert knowledge with VMWare and other virtualization solutions
* Utility computing
* Data center automation
* Fault management
* Automating provisioning, configuration, patching, auditing, and remediation of physical and virtual servers and applications
* Monitoring tools

Experience with Cloud computing and provisioning is preferred.
Expert in VMWare with demonstrated success with knowledge of ZEN, Microsoft's Hyperware, Red Hat Virtualization
Server management (Unix, Windows, and LINUX), Mirroring / Data replication / Clustering and High Availability options, Server migration, Server consolidation, Server virtualization, Data Center automation technologies including server, network, storage, configuration, change, process, and compliance and auditing, Disaster Recovery solution design and options.
